Mrs Hazel R Lewis, 71, of Warren died at 9 Pm Sunday in the Huntington Co Hospital, where she was taken after being found unconscious in her home Sunday. She was employed at the Ditzler Restaurant in Warren and when she did not appear there at 11:00 am Sunday, investigation was made.
A neighbor, Mrs Oscar Long, found the house locked but saw Mrs Lewis on the floor and her relatives were summoned. She never regained consciousness.
Mrs Lewis was born June 30, 1889 in Wabash Co to Hughie and Elnora Ramer Bray. She married William D Lewis Sept 23, 1908 in Wabash. He died Nov 6, 1957. She resided in Huntington Co, 35 years, was a member of WWII Mothers and The Baptist Church of Warren.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs Harrold (Louise) Dolby, Huntington rt 6; Mrs Paul (Lola ) Ziemer, Monon Rt 1 and Mrs Carl (Georgia) Pugh, Warren; also two sons - Elza Lewis Warren Rt 2 and William Allen Lewis, WArren Rt 3.
11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and brother Irvin Bray, Detroit Michigan .
Friends may call after 7 pm Monday in the H Brown and Sons Funeral Home, Warren, funeral Services will be held at 3:30 pm Wednesday in The Warren Baptist Church with the Rev Warren G Hill officiating.
Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at LaFontaine, Wabash County, Indiana.
