Fredrick (Chris) Ziemer was born on July 28 , 1882 to Fredrick and Katharan Schroeder Ziemer in Douglas County Illinois. In 1903 he married Emma Johanna Wienke, she was born April 12 , 1882, She was born in Broadlands , Illinois to Friedrick and Carolina Lembke Wienke. There was eleven brothers and sisters in Emma,s family. Chris and Emma had six children , three of them were born in Illinois their names were Harry, 1903 - 1985 , Ervin 1905 - 1965 , Hazel 1907 , 2003 The other three children (Rueben Henry, 1910 - 1979 My Father) Florence 1915 - 2002 , Paul 1917 - 1992 were born in Glenwood Wisconsin. Chris and Emma moved back to Illinois in 1920, then they they moved to Wabash township in Indiana. Harry married his first wife Emma Kruse and they had a son named Lyle Eugene Ziemer who was born April 6 , 1925, Emma Kruse Ziemer died shortly after Lyles birth and is burried in the Lewis Cemetery in Illinois. Lyle then was raised by Chris and Emma Ziemer. Harry remarried Stella Forqueran on May 3 , 1930. Lyle remaied with Chris and Emma untill he married. On Aug. 9 , 1956 Chris was attending Church in Rensselear Indiana in Jasper County and had a fatal heart attack. He is buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds Indiana. Emma later died at Klondike Indiana on July 20 , 1965, she also buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds Indiana. At that time they had twenty one grandchildren and ten Ggrandchildren. The Whole family were Lutherans by faith and were farmers, that seems to be what they did.

F. S. Ziemer Dies While Attending Church Service
Heart Attack Causes Death of Farmer Residing Southeast of City; Services Wednesday
Death came suddenly and unexpectedly to Frederick ("Chris") Ziemer, well known famer residing southeast of Rensselaer on RFD 1, Monon, at 10:15 a.m. Sunday while he was attending services at St. Luke Lutheran Grace street church in Rensselaer. Death was almost instantaneous and resulted from a heart attack. He had experienced chest pains in recent days, but previously had not suffered heart complications.
Mr. Ziemer was born in Illinois July 28, 1882, and had lived in the community for twenty-eight years, coming here from Illinois. His entire work life was devoted to farming. He was married to Miss Emma Wienke of his native community February 18, 1904.
Mr. Ziemer was a member of the Lutheran church and the Voters Assembly of that church.
The immediate survivors are Mrs. Ziemer; four sons, Harry Ziemer of Monon, Irvin Ziemer of Arbon (?), and Rueben Ziemer and Paul Ziemer of Monon; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Wilheim of Otterbein and Mrs. Florence Buschman of Reynolds; twenty-one grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Ziemer of Glenwood City, Wisconsin, and Hans Ziemer of Champaign, Illinois, and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Koss of Monticello and Mrs. Eva Wengler of Tuscola, Illinois.
The funeral services will be held from St. Luke's church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Eugene H. Storm, pastor of St. Luke's officiating. Interment will be at Reynolds Lutheran cemetery. The remains may be viewed at Howard O. Bradshaw Funeral Home in Rensselaer after 3 p.m. today. The body will lie in state at the church from 12 noon Wednesday until the funeral hour.
