Ronald E. Cavinder 70 of Hebron passed away on September 1, 2014 at the VNA hospice center. Born on November 29, 1943 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the Late Mearle(Matilda McColley) Cavinder. He served in the U.S. Navy, and was married to Sharon South. He worked for U.S. Steel as a Roller. He was a member of the DeMotte American Legion, the Apostolics of Cedar Lake. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, playing skipbo, uno, singing, and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Donald, and Bonnie Harris. Survived by loving wife Sharon of Hebron, children; Harold(Janett) Stevens of AL, Cynthia Stevens of AL, Margaret(Jeff) Haun of DeMotte, and Robert(Michelle) Ragsdale of DeMotte, Sister; Sandy(Bill) Bowers of Lansing, as well as many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday September 5, 2014 at 1 pm at the Frazier Funeral Home 621 S. Halleck Street DeMotte, Indiana 46310, with burial to follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday September 5, 2014 from 11 am until the time of services at 1 pm at the Frazier Funeral Home.
